Pulsworks Studio News

Shelley Christian

After a detailed and constructive pre-production, the second album for Shelley Christian is currently breaking ground here at the Pulsworks Audio Arts recording studio.

The album, which is being produced by David and engineered by Kyle, is a collection of Shelley’s own songs which have been honed during the last year or so of pre-production. Apart from the regular band, her album also features orchestral parts which is perfect for David being an experienced conductor. Expect more news soon on this exciting project.

Lastiwka

Having recorded the latest album for famous polka-punksters Tyt I Tam, we were asked by Larry Klopoushak, father of drummer Mark and violinist Carissa, to record his huge Ukrainian choir Lastiwka.

Our forty-eight track mobile recording system was installed at TCU Place where we took a split feed from their in-house system. The choir event was well attended and a great experience for David, who usually takes on the mobile jobs because of his passions for classical and choral music.

We’re not going to tell you the hilarious out-take we found when Evan was editing the tracks later, but suffice to say that to our knowledge the person to whom it’s referring isn’t! Prankster Mark had whispered into one of the microphones and what he said was recorded. Which is even funnier in view of someone else about thirty seconds later saying “these are switched off”!
